What is Pay It Forward?

Pay It Forward is a scholarship that provides professionals with a reduced registration rate for The Center for Family Life Education’s (CFLE) annual Sex Ed Conference.  This year we are seeking to support culturally diverse attendees who are emerging professionals in the field.  Pay It Forward scholarship recipients  provide important volunteer services which  allow them to learn and network with the nationally-recognized staff of The CFLE and workshop presenters throughout the Sex Ed Conference.

What assistance do scholarship recipients receive?

Pay It Forward scholarships will be awarded in the amounts of $225 (full conference registrant) and $125 (December 8 conference registrants).  The Pay It Forward scholarship will be applied to the recipient’s conference registration fee.  The CFLE will host a special evening networking event on the evening of December 7th for our Pay It Forward scholarship recipients.

How do I apply for a Pay It Forward scholarship?

Email, fax, or mail your completed Pay It Forward scholarship application, with your resume by October 3, 2011 to The Center for Family Life Education.

When will I be notified?

Scholarship recipients will be notified by email on October 12, 2011.  We must receive confirmation of acceptance of the scholarship by October 19, 2011.  Failure to respond will result in a loss of the PIF scholarship, and will be awarded to another applicant.  

Terms and Conditions

Acceptance of a Pay It Forward scholarship confirms that you will follow the Terms and Conditions to: 

• Submit a completed Sex Ed Conference registration with payment for reduced registration fee by  October 26, 2011. 
• Be responsible for your own lodging and travel expenses.  
• Assist at one workshop or other aspect of the 2011 Sex Ed Conference for each day of attendance.
• Participate in Pay It Forward meetings before and on the day(s) of conference attendance.
