Do you want to help plan our 2026 National Sex Ed Conference in Baltimore (February 23-25, 2026)? Apply to be part of the 2026 National Sex Ed Conference Planning Team!
As a member of the planning team you get to network with other sex educators and leaders in the discipline while also helping plan and implement the National Sex Ed Conference. Other perks of being a Planning Team member include:
- networking opportunities and enhancing your resume
- Interacting with leading sexuality educators
- A $200 honorarium
- Complimentary conference admission
- Free AASECT and/or CHES® continuing education credits

Planning Team Members are people who are actively engaged in this planning process and volunteer about 10 hours per month prior to the conference and at least 12 hours during the conference week. Other activities include:
- Participating in one to two conference calls per month, with frequency increasing as the event approaches.
- Promoting the conference within your networks as instructed by the organizers.
- Maintaining consistent email communication, especially as the conference date nears.
- Contributing to the conference program by assisting in the selection of keynote and featured speakers.
- Engaging in creative planning and detail-oriented tasks.
- Supporting on-site logistics, such as attendee registration, workshop moderation, and leading special interest or networking groups.
- Conducting at least 20 peer reviews of workshop proposals, allocating 10-15 minutes per review to ensure comprehensive feedback.
- Fully engaging with the planning team to ensure the conference’s success.
- Contributing to the Pay It Forward scholarship program by making a donation (no minimum required) and encouraging your networks to do the same.
- Adhering to the NSEC Code of Conduct.
- Being 18 years of age or older.
