From student advocate to Executive Director, Oronde has been involved with healthy relationship education from a number of angles for nearly 20 years. His degree in neuroscience focusing on learning and memory along with hormones and behavior combined with his deep love for facilitating difficult discussions around the complexities of identity and relationships. His experiences helped to inform his 2018 TEDx talk about redefining masculinity and the importance of vulnerability in the process.

Jess collaborated with the San Francisco Unified School District to create and implement a high school porn literacy lesson into the Be Real, Be Ready sexual health curriculum. She earned an MS in counseling and a PhD in health behavior, both from Indiana University, with clinical and research training at the Kinsey Institute. Now she combines sex education and stress education to teach women to live with confidence and joy inside their bodies. She lives in Massachusetts.

Emma Place (They/She)

Emma Place is currently serving as a Program Coordinator at The LGBT Center of Greater Cleveland aiding in creating and facilitating programming for queer youth ages 11 to 19 as well as intergenerational programming that strives to connect all ages of the LGBTQ+ community. Place graduated from The College of Wooster in Spring of 2024 with a degree in political science and a minor in communication studies wherein they studied the effects of government actions that actively work against marginalized communities alongside ways to combat this systematic oppression through community organizing and education. The culmination of Place’s studies resulted in a thesis project which analyzed anti-trans legislative language within the Ohio Revised Code on policies that affect the healthcare, education, and civil rights of transgender citizens. Policy knowledge and an emphasis on intersectionality are Place’s primary motivating factors for their continued advocacy on behalf of the LGBTQ+ community.

Kelly Pfleider, founder of Pure Praxis, gained widespread recognition as the primary provider of sexual assault prevention training for the US Navy from 2015 to 2019.
