Exciting news! The National Sex Ed Conference, the largest conference in the United States exclusively for sexuality educators is now accepting proposals for its 2023 conference.
Hosted by The Center for Sex Education, this conference is the perfect opportunity to share your knowledge and engage with professionals in the field.
Are you a sexuality educator, health educator, professor, school teacher, nurse, counselor, case manager, social worker, therapist, or someone who works in a related field? If so, this conference is for you! We encourage proposals that address sexuality education for all ages and in all types of settings. And, we especially love proposals that provide participants with materials they can replicate.
What do I need to submit?
To submit your proposal, you’ll need to provide biographical and contact information for each presenter, including resume/CV, photo, and short bio. You’ll also need to include a presentation title and description, and answer a number of audience- and content-related questions. In addition, you’ll need to describe how your session will address diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB), and how it aligns with the core content categories identified by AASECT, CHES®, and the Professional Learning Standards for Sex Education. You’ll also need to choose whether you want your submission to be considered for an in-person workshop or a pre-recorded webinar. If your proposal for an in-person workshop is accepted, you’ll receive a $100 discount off the regular registration fee (regular registration fees are $545 in person, $345 online) and commit to presenting your one-hour workshop in Atlantic City on the assigned date. Alternatively, if your pre-recorded webinar proposal is accepted, you’ll need to create and submit a one-hour recorded webinar, which will be due in August 2023.
When you are ready, submit your proposal here.
