WOW! We received almost 250 submissions! Thank you for taking the time to send us these awesome proposals. The peer reviewers are busily reviewing. Decisions will be made in the next several months. So stay tuned!
The National Sex Ed Conference is hosted by The Center for Sex Education. This is the largest conference in the United States designed exclusively for sexuality educators. We encourage the submission of proposals that address sexuality education for all ages, in all types of settings, and we especially love proposals for workshops that are highly interactive and give participants materials they can replicate.
So, Who Will Attend?
Sexuality educators, health educators, professors, school teachers, nurses, counselors, case managers, social workers, therapists, & many more…
What kind of workshop should I propose?
Ideally something highly interactive! Our attendees love a workshop where they walk away with practical information they can use in their classrooms – including lists of tips, activities descriptions, lesson plans, and more.
What do I need to submit?
We strongly encourage you take the time in advance to gather the information below. The submission process asks for a lot of information, and may take some time to complete. Yes, you can save your work and come back at a later time to complete.
If you are co-presenting, both presenters will need to create profiles in the system, and complete the biographical portion. Only one presenter will need to take the lead on the proposals, and the other presenter(s) can be linked to the presentation.
We strongly encourage you to write out responses in a word processing document and then copy and paste your answers into the form, just in case your browser times out. All workshop sessions are 60-minutes in length. In order to submit your proposal, please be prepared to submit:
- Workshop title, brief description, & workshop rationale
- SMART learning objective(s) (find details here: https://www.SexEdConference.com/SMART)
- Activity Outline
- The following information and documentation for EACH presenter: name, resume/CV, short bio, & headshot(optional)
- Additional keywords and questions for peer review and continuing education purposes
Before you submit, do a self-check! Is you workshop inclusive? Consider language used, images, activities, populations, etc. before you submit your proposal.
