  • Our Conference Planning Team:

    This year’s National Sex Ed Conference is co-chaired by Eli R. Green and Dr. Susan Milstein. Green is a Philadelphia-based sexuality educator, consultant, and college professor specializing in LGBTQ inclusion and reducing prejudice against people of diverse sexual orientations and gender identities. Dr. Milstein is a professor at Montgomery College in Maryland, and a lecturer at George Washington State University who also specializes in work with older adults, social workers, and mental health professionals. The planning team was rounded out by long-term reproductive health and sexuality education advocate Maggi Boyer and Bill Taverner, executive director of the Center for Family Life Education.

     

    Eli R. Green, MA, MEd, is a sexuality educator, consultant, and adjunct professor specializing in LGBTQ inclusion.  His PhD research focuses on the effectiveness of sexuality education at reducing prejudice against transgender people.   Eli’s work has been published in the American Journal of Sexuality Education, and he has 2 lessons in the CFLE’s new Teaching Safer Sex and Game On! manuals.     Dr. Susan Milstein is a professor at Montgomery College in Maryland, and a lecturer at The George Washington University. She is the co-editor of the CFLE’s new, two-volume third edition of Teaching Safer Sex.  Learn more about Susan at: www.milsteinhealthconsulting.com

    Bill Taverner is the executive director of the CFLE and the editor-in-chief of the American Journal of Sexuality Education. He is the co-author or co-editor of numerous sex ed resources, including Teaching Safer Sex.

    Maggi Boyer is an organizational consultant with over 35 years experience working as a trainer, mentor and facilitator in the fields of Reproductive Justice and Sexuality Education. Her years of commitment and dedication to comprehensive sexuality education throughout the lifespan and strong commitment to issues of women’s reproductive justice give her workshops and presentations a breadth and synthesis that are remarkably effective in creating positive and powerful learning experiences.  Learn more about Maggi at www.maggiboyer.com
